Translator: Gitta Honegger

Gitta Honegger is the translator of Elfriede Jelinek’s ‘Rechnitz’ and ‘The Merchant’s Contracts’ (2015), Charges (The Supplicants) (2016), On the Royal Road; The Burgher King (2020) and Fury (2022) as well as several short prose-text and The Children of the Dead (1995). She has also translated plays by Elias Canetti, Thomas Bernhard, Peter Handke, Franz Xaver Kroetz and Marieluise Fleißer, among others.
